Celebrating 125 years in 2026!
Mission statement: The University League is a nonprofit membership organization open to all who support the University of Wisconsin–Madison. The purpose of the League is to raise funds for student scholarships and to promote volunteer services, educational opportunities, and social activities for its members.
Founded in 1901, The University League has provided student scholarships since 1916. In the past thirty years, the League has provided more than one million dollars in scholarship funding for UW–Madison students and gifts to UW-related groups.
This year The University League is celebrating 125 years of supporting “Scholarships, Service, Education and Friendship.” Help us mark our 125th anniversary by surpassing our goal of $25,000 donated to student scholarships during our annual Scholarship Benefit Campaign.
In recognition of the 2025-26 recipients of undergraduate scholarships in the UW-Madison College of Letters & Science, Dean Eric M. Wilcots recently stated, “The students we celebrate bring talent, curiosity, and an incredible sense of possibility to everything they do. Their journeys are shaped by the care and encouragement of families who support them and by the generosity of the donors who believe in their potential. Each scholarship awarded reflects a shared commitment to opportunity, discovery, and a future built on knowledge, creativity, and compassion.”
